JOSEPHINE RANER Loving Mother & Grandmother SHORTSVILLE: Josephine Raner, 74, of Lorraine Drive, formerly of Atwater Park, Canandaigua, died Saturday, January 12 at Strong Memorial Hospital. Josephine was born in Canandaigua on July 19, 1933 to the late Anthony and Josephine (Guerrino) Disciorio. She attended Canandaigua Academy and retired as chief cook at F.F. Thompson Hospital after over twenty years of service. Following her retirement she was employed by the former Big Wheel department store. She was a member of St. Mary's Church. Josephine is survived by her children Thomas Raner of Long Beach, California, Patricia LeVesque of Shortsville and Barbara (Ron) Langdon of Clifton Springs; her grandchildren Michelle (Joe) LeVesque Alampi, Amy Jo LeVesque and Craig Langdon; her sister Helen (Carl) Jones of Canandaigua; several nieces and nephews and many close friends including Dean Duncan of California. She was preceded in death by her husband Lavern in 2006. She was also predeceased by her sisters Madeline LeGrett, Jeanette Wright, Mary Lorenz and Jayne Twitchell and her brother Nicholas Disciorio. There will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, North Main St., Canandaigua, Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Vascular Surgery, University of Rochester Medical Center, 300 East River Road, POB 278996, Rochester, NY 14627.
