Obituary of Lewis Bradford

BRADFORD, Lewis M. BRISTOL: Lewis M. Bradford, 69, died Tuesday, May 29 at his Footer Road home. Lewis was born in Canandaigua on April 26, 1938 to the late Kenneth and Beatrice Bradford. He was a graduate of Bloomfield High School and served with the U. S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the United Church of Bristol and a former member of the East Bloomfield-Holcomb Lions Club. He had owned and operated L. M. Bradford and Sons Electrical Plumbing and Heating in Bloomfield for over thirty-five years. He is survived by his wife Effie of Bristol, his son Steven (Deborah Bradford) of Canandaigua, his daughter Julie (Paul) Dillon of Colorado Springs, Colo., six grandchildren Mary and Taylor Bradford and Jena, Sean, Enya and Quinten Dillon, eight step-children Peter (Mary Condon) Rogers of Victor, Richard (Linda Dreier) Rogers of Canandaigua, Ronald (Yejama) Rogers of Dallas, Tex., Steven (Lynn Poulos) of Bloomfield and Charles (Maryann) Rogers of Jersey Shore, Penna., Christine (Don) Markum of West Plains, MO, Jane (Terry) Marble of Canandaigua and Patricia (Robin) Fitzgerald of Bloomfield, several step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren, his sisters Janice (George) Slack of Canandaigua and Lucy (Don) Johnson of Penn Yan and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Quintin in 1995 and his wife Barbara in 2001. There will be no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the United Church of Bristol Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Sands Cancer Center, 350 Parrish St., Canandaigua, NY 14424 or to the United Church of Bristol, 7177 County Road 2, Bloomfield, NY 14469.
