Obituary of Margaret E. Guinan

Victor/Brighton: Guinan, Margaret “Marge”: September 14, 2016 at age 83. Survived by her brother, Edward (Jean) Guinan, 12 nieces and nephews (we loved her dearly), great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and Carol Achilles, her long time and loyal best friend for whom the family is eternally grateful. Marge is predeceased by her parents, J. Leo and Edith, sisters, Jean and Marie Guinan, and brothers, James and Robert Guinan. Marge was raised in Victor, NY, the daughter of J Leo and Edith Bender Guinan and one of six children. Marge later resided in the Rochester area and became a beloved math teacher and Vice Principal in the Webster School System for 33 years. Following retirement, Marge enjoyed family time; travel; and volunteering for the Ronald McDonald House, St John the Evangelist Church, driving seniors to appointments/shopping, and the American Association of University Women. Marge will be remembered most for her gift for teaching, countless hours of tutoring family and friends, kind and generous heart, volunteer services, and as the Best Aunt Ever. A memorial mass will be celebrated September 19 at 10 AM at St Patrick’s church, Victor. Interment will be in St Patrick’s cemetery.
