Obituary of Diane M. Blum

Diane D. Blum (Dentinger) Diane D. Blum; 73, of Canandaigua, N.Y. passed away peacefully on Monday, February 6, 2017. Diane was born on July 17, 1943 in Rochester, N.Y. She was the loving daughter of John and Mary (Peters) Dentinger. She is survived by her husband of 55 years; Thomas David Blum, one son Thomas Blum Jr and wife (Jeannie Mulley), 2 daughters; Mary Jane Rau and husband (Mark), Rebecca Mickelsen and husband (Spencer), and her sister Jane Dentinger of NYC and she will forever be cherished by her grandchildren Joshua, Jamie, Tommy, Kelly, Jakob and Isabelle and great grandchildren Tanner, Landon and Oliver, along with several nieces and nephews. Diane was predeceased by her brothers Mark Dentinger of Albany and James Dentinger of Rochester. Diane was a devoted mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend to many. Prior to retirement she spent her time volunteering at the Catholic Church as editor for the newspaper as well as the women's representative for the diocese, she loved reading, mathematics, politics, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. In her youth Diane was an avid outdoors person who enjoyed spending time on her land in Dansville, gardening, hiking, hunting, bird watching and enjoying the abundant wildlife. A 10 am funeral service will be held on February 18, 2017 at St. Mary's Church, 95 N. Main St. Canandaigua, N.Y. In lieu of flowers relatives and friends are asked to kindly make contributions to The Susan B. Anthony House, 17 Madison St., Rochester, NY 14608.
