Obituary of Helene Panzarella

HELENE "PAT" PANZARELLA Pat Panzarella, 86, died Feb. 26th. at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, with loved ones by her side. She was born in Canandaigua on Mar. 17, 1930 to the late Harold and Veva (Hayes) Fletcher. Pat was a graduate of the Canandaigua Academy Class of 1948 and attended the former Rochester School of Commerce. She and her late husband Joseph owned and operated Coy Street Hardware for over four decades. Later, Pat worked at Lynn's and Diversions women's clothing stores. As a member of the First Congregational Church in Canandaigua, Pat taught Sunday School and was a Brownie/Girl Scout leader. She was currently also a member of the United Church of Bristol and enjoyed being in the Centerfield Homemakers. Awarded in high school for her abilities in Home Economics, Pat continued to love cooking and baked many well-received special occasion cakes. Pat and Joe danced many Saturday evenings at the American Legion Post 256 as members of the Victor Dance Club. Pat was predeceased by her husband Joe in 2008, her daughter Lisa in 2004 and her life-long friend Joan Borncamp in 2015. She is survived by her sons Joseph H. and Jason R. both of Canandaigua, her sister-in-law Eleanor Fletcher and several nieces and nephews. Pat's family would like to thank her "angels" at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. There will be no prior calling hours. A graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery in Bristol will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions in memory of Pat may be directed to the United Church of Bristol, 7177 County Road 2, Bloomfield, NY 14469 or the charity of your choice.
