Roger H. Lamphier

Canandaigua– Roger Lamphier, 86, passed away peacefully on March 14th.

Sergeant First Class Lamphier has had a long-standing military career: he is a veteran of the Korean War, served in the U.S. Army Reserve and was employed as an Army Reserve Unit Administrative Technician for Company D, Army Reserve Center, Canandaigua, NY. Most importantly, he was a true family man, who enjoyed nothing more than spending time his family and friends, watching them grow and flourish throughout the years. His presence and unwavering strength will be significantly missed by all generations.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lore of 64 years, their children: Sue Edwards, Joanne (Gene) Rendino, Debbie (Jack) Bognaski, Paul (Debbie) Lamphier and Jennifer Lamphier-McIlwaine, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren with another on the way. Sisters, Shirley Braman and Lillian Marlowe along with many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by their son, John and parents Derward (Dode) and Hattie Lamphier.

Family and friends may call on Monday, March 19th from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 20th, at 10:00 am at St. Michael's Church, 312 Liberty Street, Penn Yan, NY.
