Obituary of Ann Eleanor Quire

Obituary of Ann Caruso Quire October 10, 1937 – March 2, 2018 Ann Eleanor Caruso Quire, 80, died Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain, NC. Born in New York City, on October 10, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Antoinette LaPeruta Caruso. Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles "Chuck" Quire. Ann was also predeceased by her siblings, Jasmine Caccavaio and husband Louis, Salvatore Caruso, and Amelia Caruso. Ann was retired from Wachovia Bank. She had also worked at Fiber Industries in Shelby, NC, and Tobin Packing Co. in Rochester, NY. Ann was a lifelong practicing Roman Catholic. She was a proud and devout member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in NC for 45 years. Serving her church provided immeasurable fulfillment to her. She was especially honored to serve as a Sacristan and an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Ann was very devoted to shut-ins putting much effort into bringing flowers, small gifts and most importantly spending time with them exemplifying true Christianity. She contributed her time and talent to various areas of church work, too many to mention, all in honor of Jesus Christ. Most will especially remember her dedication to St. Joseph. Ann is survived by two daughters, Patti Hunnicutt and husband Barry, and Susan Atkins; two sisters-in-law, Donna Quire and Jo Caruso; two nephews, two nieces, and what she called the "loves of her life," four grandchildren and seven great-granddaughters. Friends may call Thursday, March 22, from 5-7pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. Burial will be private.
