I have known Bob for many years. He was a quiet, gentle soul who loved his family, friends and life. Bob accepted his Parkinson's with dignity and grace. His smile made you smile. Bob touched many lives and will be missed all. If I make it to heaven Bob, I will have my argyle socks on.

Shirley, I am so sorry for your loss. You and Bob were so welcoming to my family when we joined CYC and I enjoyed spending time with you and Bob during our years there. I been living in Maryland the past year and wish I could come by tomorrow to express my condolences. I admired Bob as a sailor, but more importantly, as a man who dearly loved his family - a rare thing now-a-days. May God bless you and your lovely family and see you through this difficult time.
Fondy, Anita Casey

Bob has had a very tough last five years. It has been sad and painful for all of us to witness what he was going through. But, every now and then that wonderful smile of his would come through. Bob your achievements in life were great, you have raised a wonderful family, and you have always been a loving and supportive brother. You will be greatly missed. Brother Dave

Although I didn't get to spend as much time with Uncle Bob as I would have liked, I felt so privileged when I did get time with him. I remember when he let me "crew" with him, although I had no idea what I was doing. He was always patient with me. When I think of him, I always picture him calmly taking it all in, and sometimes with a pipe in his mouth. I love bragging about him to others saying "my uncle was the first one to graduate with his doctorate from UofR in chemical engineering". He was an amazing person, and I've always been proud to call him my uncle.
