Grandpa was the best man in my life. He was always loving and gentle. I remember him teaching us how to play checkers. He made the best waffles in the morning, and we would eat popcorn and Rocky Road ice cream at night. He would let me watch figure ice skating, while he read a book. Over the summer that I spent with him and Gramma, he said he knew who Mike "the Situation" was because of Dancing with the Stars, I was so proud! He made me laugh, but it was more special when he laughed, you knew it was a good joke if Grandpa chuckled. I will miss that so much, and glancing over at his chair watching him read his paperback book and nibbling on his lip. Yes, he was one of the best people I have known, and my life has been impacted by him. If it is one thing I learned from him, it is how to love someone. You could just see in his eyes how much he loved my Grandma. I remember one time over the summer that he and Gramma danced to some "Oldies" music on the radio in the living room. That was just one of the best moments to witness. I will never forget you Grandpa, you will always be in my thoughts and heart. Thank you for being the best Grandpa in the whole world, you were truely the NUMBER ONE GRANDPA.
