Obituary of Cecil Brand

CECIL G. BRAND CANANDAIGUA: Cecil Brand, 80, of Chapin Street, died Monday, Oct. 15 at Thompson Hospital. Cecil was born in Canandaigua on Sept. 13, 1932 to the late Cecil and Mable Cumming Brand. He attended Canandaigua Academy and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was the recipient of two Bronze Stars. Cecil retired from Voplex after 20 years of service. Survivors include his wife Angela (Ayers) Brand, Canandaigua; his son Burton "Burt" (Jennifer) Brand, Farmington,several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his father-in-law Albert Ayers and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his son Butch Brand and brothers Richard and George. Friends may call at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua, Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. Private graveside services with military honors will be conducted in Woodlawn Cemetery.
