Thomas Batte
BLOOMFIELD Thomas Batte, 81, passed away on August 25, 2019 at Thompson Hospital. Tom was born in Canandaigua to the late Earl and Helen Simmonson Batte. He was a graduate of Bloomfield Central School and had been employed by Sybron, in Rochester, for over thirty years. He was an avid outdoorsman and an NFL fan.
Survivors include his wife Jean Chappell Batte, his son William (Teresa) Batte, Brothers Jerry (Jean) Batte, his sisters Sue (Paul) Luckman, Edith (Bob) Douglas and Nancy Patz, his sisters-law Jean Batte, Patricia (Anthony) Villanucci, Joan (Charlie Cross) D'Agostino, Joanne (Wilbur) Thornton, brothers-in-law William (Rosemary) Chappell and Michael Chappell and several grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his son, Edward, brother William and Robert Batte and his sisters Elthea King Spiegel and Ann VanDussen.
There will be no prior calling hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Bridget's Church on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute to the family directly.
