Obituary of Patricia Bliss

Patricia J. Bliss Canandaigua- On Wednesday December 11, 2019 the world lost an amazing woman, mother, grandmother and friend. At her home Patricia Bliss died peacefully after a short illness surrounded by her children. The daughter of John A. and Dorothy VanBrooker, Sr. She is survived by her brother, John A. VanBrooker II "Jack"; her children, Lisa, Jeff (Becky) and Jennifer; grandchildren, Mitch, Kasey, Evan and Abigail, all residents of Canandaigua; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Gary. Patty Jo was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy in 1958, she attended University of Buffalo briefly before marrying Gary. She worked and retired from the Town of Canandaigua serving as both Tax Collector and Deputy Town Clerk over her tenure. Over the years she was seen with her family at 4-H functions, Rotary events, a member of the Centerfield Home Bureau, and O.E.S. The family will be planning a celebration of her life in the spring of 2020 and hope to see her friends at that time to share in memory her life.
