Obituary of Floyd O. Herrick, Jr.

Floyd O. Herrick Jr. Rushville- Floyd Herrick, 75, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2020 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Floyd was a graduate of Alfred State College with a degree in Engineering Science, Clarkson University with a Master's degree in Civil Engineering. He was a registered Professional Engineer in eleven States including New York. Floyd was President and managing partner at Herrick-Saylor Engineers, P.C. for over 20 years. He was past president of the American Concrete Association, Western, NY Chapter, past president of Farmington Junior Baseball, past president of Gorham Rotary, and a member of the Marcus Whitman School Board. Floyd is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen; daughter, Eileen (Jeffrey) Hanss; son, Sean (Jennifer); grandchildren, Calvin, Andrew, Benjamin, Katherine, Lillian; sister in-law, Victoria Ellis and brother in-law, Brian Lewis. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. Most of all he loved his family and family events. Friends may call Thursday, January 23, from 4-8pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua.
