Obituary of Elizabeth C. O'Bine

Elizabeth C. O'Bine Canandaigua- Elizabeth (Betty) O’Bine, born in Pittsburg, PA on October 19,1915 passed away at Clifton Springs Nursing Home on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at 104 years of age. Betty was one of 13 children born to Harry and Anna Laura Krug. Betty was predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond. She is survived by her four children, David (Sharon) O’Bine, San Antonio, Texas, Deborah O’Bine, Santa Fe,NM, Daniel (Barbara) O’Bine, Canandaigua, NY and John O’Bine, Danbury, CT along with six grandchildren, one great grandson and her sister, Muriel Weimer, Rochester, NY. Betty was guided by her strong faith and actively participated at St. Salomes Parish in Irondequoit. Her career was very important to her and she held many different jobs throughout her career of helping people. She loved meeting new people and sharing conversation. Betty and Ray loved to travel and participated in many Kodak social activities. They lived for many years in Irondequoit before retiring to Timber Oaks in Port Richey Florida. During their retirement, they enjoyed golfing, bowling, shuffleboard, cards, swimming and dancing at the community center social functions. Betty never passed up a good garage sale! Later in life, Betty lived at several Canandaigua retirement communities where she always found beauty in nature and her surroundings and loved to express her ideas in cards and drawings. You could always find her with an art project. Betty’s life of 104 years saw many historical adversities and personal challenges. Her strong will and love of family were instrumental in guiding her through life. Betty’s family would like to thank the staff at Ferris Hills, Clark Manor House, and Clifton Springs Nursing home for their loving support and care over the last thirteen years.
