Canandaigua- Michael Patrick Ruffcorn, of Monks Rd. Canandaigua, NY, passed away on Tuesday May 19,2020 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born in Bronx, NY to George Ruffcorn II and Sarah Waldron Ruffcorn on September 7, 1961.
Mike loved working in his garden and breathing life into plants and flowers that others thought would not survive. He helped out neighbors with lawn mowing and worked with small community businesses. He created beautiful wood burnings and could master any craft project. Mike had a passion for music with a vast collection of vinyl, picture discs and cd's. He had a love for tractors with a collection of over 30 die cast tractors, memorabilia and Lego models made by his grandchildren. Mike was a Die Hard Denver Broncos fan for over 40 years and had an extensive memorabilia collection.
Mike is predeceased by his parents, and survived by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Louise Miller Ruffcorn, two sons, Jacob Roberts and his wife Carla, of Cobleskill, NY and Michael Paul Ruffcorn of Canandaigua, NY. Five grandchildren, Paige, Kendall, and Aubrey Roberts of Cobleskill, NY, Kenzie Ruffcorn of Woodbridge, VA and Michael Padraig Ruffcorn of Canandaigua, NY. He is also survived by four siblings, Teresa Lacy and her husband, Lee of Middleburgh, NY, Mary Bixby of Middleburgh, NY, Cathy Ruffcorn of Richmondville, NY and George Ruffcorn III of Middleburgh, NY and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service for Mike at a later date in Canandaigua, NY
