Obituary of David R. Hildebrandt
David Richard Hildebrandt passed away this week at the age of 30. His death brought to a close a long and painful journey with heroin addiction. He is survived by his mother Diane (Greg Stegall) Hildebrandt, father Rick (Rinda) Hildebrandt, sister Allison (Isaiah) Hildebrandt, children Sophia and Alexis Hildebrandt (Nicole Keeney Brown), and grandparents Dick and Kathy Hildebrandt and family, and Tom and Maureen Welch. He is also survived by Walter Kelly Stegall, Dina and Kent Mangiamale, and their families.
David is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Betty and Peter Stahlbrodt and family, Bonnie and Mark Vahey and family, Cathy and Gene Laneri and family, Betty Wilcockson, Nancy and Michael Yacci and family, Tom Hildebrandt and family, Julie and Roger Dontigney and family, Shirley Mead and family, Buddy Mead and family, Karen and Rick Peterson-Maiello and family, and friends we consider family.
He is predeceased by Mabel and Harold Hildebrandt, Kitty and Ernie Lutz, Linda Welch, Shirley Stegall, Edna and Bob Conklin, Ruth and Lee Waterman, Brian Ledger, Steve Peterson, Brad Wilcockson, Kathy Elrod Hildebrandt, Nellie Elrod, and Ashley Lewis. Sadly, he is also predeceased by too many friends lost to the same affliction.
Prior to David's addictions, he was an avid skateboarder, hockey player, snowboarder, and electric guitar prodigy. He was extremely passionate about all his hobbies. The family will remember him as energetic and fun-loving and big hearted. David had a big, charismatic personality. The family will be forever grateful to all the kind souls who helped him along the way.
The family would like to encourage anyone struggling with addiction to reach out to their loved ones and try to heal. Addiction is a disease that affects everyone who loves you.
Calling hours will be at Fuller's Funeral Home on Thursday, November 19th from 5pm-7pm.
