CeCe was my best friend in high school and we remained in touch for all the years after our graduation in 1955. I am indebted to her for many of the best things in my life and I will miss her always.

Dear Alex and entire extended family,
It saddened me to read of Cece's passing. I enjoyed many conversaions with Cece and Alex over the years they lived in Canandaigua. Her concern for people and the state of the nation and world were always at the heart of our talks. I still have letters she wrote me regarding specific topics. I cherish the letters as a testament to her knowledge, caring and quest to help others. While it is difficult as you face her passing at this time, may you continue to revere and support her legacy as time moves forward.

Dear Alex and Bodnar family. I am so sorry for your loss. I got to know Cece and Alex while carrying candidate petitions in Canandaigua. They were neighbors up the street and were always so warm and gracious when I stopped by. As the years went by I got to know them better and my visits on the stoop turned into visits in their living room on N Pearl St. Alex was always quick with a joke and a smile. I admired Cece's thirst for knowledge, her care and concern for the environment and education, and her advocacy. She was a bright woman and a forever student. After Alex moved to a nursing home, I enjoyed a few breakfasts with Cece. Our conversations centered around our shared progressive values, what it meant to be a woman and mother in 21st century, and faith. Cece was so proud of her grandchildren. I know you will miss her. Please give a hug to Alex for me.

We were proud to have had Cecilie as a member of the Canandaiga Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution since 2009. She honored her patriot Nicholas Lutz. She will be missed by all. Our condolences to her family.
