When I was new to Canandaigua, early summer of 2017, Ralph and Roxie met me on the pier. It didn't bother him that I am deaf, we many spirited conversations anyway. He often held my hand and said kind things, always smiling and ready to share his joy. Ralph was the first one that offered a hand of friendship and I cherish his memory. To the Calabrese family: my condolences for losing the elder of your family. He was one of a kind.

Ralph was a great supporter and friend to the Canandaigua Braves Football Program. He went to all of our sons' games at Evans Field and Section V playoffs. I'll never forget the day we gave him his own jersey....he was so thrilled. Thanks for always supporting our youth, Ralph. It was a great ride!

My condolences to Ralph's family. I knew Ralph through my job at the salvation army. He came in many times with his dog Roxy and it was always a treat to see them. He would call me angel any time he saw me and I always made a point to help him whenever I could. Best moment was when he was coming in alot looking at a particular couch and someone got it for him as a gift. It was amazing and he was so happy. I'll never forget it. Ralph you will be missed so much. May you rest in peace.

Ralph was a great friend, a fellow Veteran and tireless advocate on behalf of Veteran’s causes. I was honored to work with Ralph on the campaign to save our Canandaigua VA Medical Center. His energy and commitment was an inspiration to all. There was no greater Canandaigua Braves football fan than Ralph. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. God speed Ralph.

I am so sorry to read about Ralph’s passing. I got to know Ralph when I worked at Community Bank, where I did a mortgage for him. After the mortgage was complete he invited us to his house for a pizza party which was great. After leaving Community Bank I didn’t get to see Ralph again but I surely didn’t forget him. Dominic, my thoughts are with you and your family during this time.

To know Ralph was truly a pleasure. I worked with Ralph years ago at Lowes. Every store has a manager but not every store has a Ralph; we had Ralph. His stories, his smile, and his tenacious ability to connect with people of all ages: I have always admired. My thoughts and prayers with his family, friends, and all who knew him. God bless.
