Virginia Marie Mosher, of Shortsville, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024.
She worked for many years in the secretarial field.
Virginia was well-known for her love of cats, having owned, adopted, and cared for more than 90 over the years. She also fed numerous strays and found homes for others.
Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Mosher, who passed away in 2011; her parents, Edward and Josephine Krzemien; her sister, Dolores (Daniel) Gelser of Swain; her brothers, Jack (Nancy) Krzemien of Nunda, Michael (John) of Niagara Falls, Edward Jr. (Betsy) of Warsaw and Ronald (Debbie) Krzemien of Castile.
She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa (John) Karasiewicz and stepchildren Stephen (Jenelle) Mosher and Christie Fox; her sisters, Nancy (Tom) Surtel of Silver Springs and Rosemary Krzemien of Warsaw; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
As per her wishes, there will be no services.
Thank you to all her neighbors and friends who have helped, and a special thank you to her niece Angela Andrews.
Arrangements were made by Fuller Funeral home in Canandaigua, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UR Medicine Hospice Finger Lakes or The Colony Caregivers located in Shortsville, N.Y.
