Obituary of Paul A. Scipione

Paul A. Scipione of Canandaigua, New York, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at FF Thompson Hospital at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Mary Virginia Scipione. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Scipione; daughter Leigh Scipione; his grandchildren Christopher Scipione and Alexis Wickey; sister Joanne Smith, and several nieces and nephews. Paul was born on April 30, 1946, in Syracuse, New York. He was the recipient of three college degrees including a PhD from Rutgers University in New Jersey. As a consumer psychologist, Paul held executive positions at several corporations in Princeton, New Jersey, and New York City. His true interest was in teaching, and he eventually became a professor of marketing at Montclair State University in New Jersey. In his later years, Paul was a professor at Emeritus of Business at SUNY Geneseo. Paul was also a published author of several books and an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. A man of many interests, Paul enjoyed writing, teaching, reading, ham radio, watch collecting and watching the Bills and the Yankees. He also loved to talk and tell stories as many of his friends and even strangers can attest to! Friends may call Monday, March 3, 2-4 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 4 PM funeral service will follow at the funeral home. The burial will be on Tuesday, March 4, 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery 130 N. Pearl St. Canandaigua.
