Obituary of Patricia Lynn Fox
Patricia Lynn Fox (Patty), 63, of Canandaigua, NY, passed away suddenly at home on March 6, 2025, after battling ongoing health issues.
Patty was born on May 22, 1961, to Janet Swackhammer and Alfred James Bardeen. She was raised by her loving stepfather, Robert Swackhammer, who played a significant role in her life.
Patty had a heart of gold, a great sense of humor, and a contagious laugh that could brighten any room. Her fiery spirit and sweet, loving nature brought joy and light to everyone around her. She cherished time spent with her cousin and best friend, Sue Hotchkiss, with whom she shared countless adventures. Patty was also involved with her living community friends and found great comfort in her faith, loving God and attending church.
She is survived by her children, Nicole Martinez (Pierson), Katrina Pierson, and Jeffery (Brittany) Fox; her grandchildren, Lilith Fox, Lela Riley, Kaiden Payne, Ember Payne, Mauricio Martinez-Pierson, Kimberley Pierson, and Marcus Mayhew; and her great-grandchildren, Ryan Baker, Serenitie Klinger, Jordan Klinger, with two more on the way.
She is also survived by her stepfather, Robert Swackhammer; her sister, Cynthia (John) Thomson; her half-sister, Michelle (Michael) Maltby; her stepbrother, Randy Swackhammer; and her nieces and nephews, Shawn (Elaine) Thomson, Shannon (Keith) Fogerty, Robert (Jessica) Thomson, Adam Bennett, Emily (Tyler) Mullen, and Braxton Fuller.
Patty's beloved cousin and best friend, Sue Hotchkiss, shared a special bond with her, creating countless cherished memories together. She is also survived by her cousins, Kenneth (Addie) Hotchkiss, David (Stacy) Hotchkiss, Lisa Hotchkiss, Bridget Swackhammer, Amy (David) Patterson, Vanessa Reed, and Braxton Fuller.
She is also survived by her aunts and uncles: Carl and Diana Hotchkiss, Donna Limerick (late Bill Limerick), Richard Swackhammer (late Donna Swackhammer), and Bernice and Wilbert Reed.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Swackhammer; her half-brother, Michael Swackhammer; her grandparents, Gordon & Josephine (Christine) Meehan, Anthony & Maureen Tripody, Robert & Mary Swackhammer, and Ruth Dixon; her aunt, Donna Swackhammer; her uncle, Bill Limerick; and her nephew, Christopher Graudons.
Friends may call Friday, March 21, from 5-6 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St, Canandaigua. A 6 PM memorial service will follow at the funeral home.
