Lucille P. Simpson passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, surrounded by the love and care of her devoted granddaughters, Brianna Lee "Muffin" DeLorenzo and Jenna Lorraine "Cupcake" Simpson.

Lucille has gone to be with those she dearly missed: her husband, Charles Simpson Jr.; her cherished son, Charles MacGregor "Greg" Simpson; her parents, Charles and Bertha Pitifer; her brothers Sully Pitifer (Anna) and Charles Pitifer Jr. (Dianne).

The greatest joys of her life were her granddaughters, Brianna (Anthony DeLorenzo) and Jenna (Connor Hamilton), their mother, Kimberly "Kimmy Kins" Goldstone (Bev Hooper), whose unwavering support and kindness throughout Lucille's many trials meant more than words can express. She is also survived by many treasured nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Lucille's wishes, there will be no calling hours or formal services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lucille's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
