Our dear mother, Jamie Plain, passed away on June 12, 2025, after a courageous five-year battle with cancer, at the age of 45.

She was born on February 26, 1980, at Highland Hospital in Rochester, New York. Jamie spent her childhood in several places, moving from Rochester to South Carolina, where she lived until she was nine, before returning to New York. She later lived in Crystal Beach, Canandaigua, and finally, Rochester.

At the age of 20, Jamie became a mother for the first time, a role that would become her life's focus. She went on to have three more children, always putting her family first. She worked tirelessly in several roles to provide for us. Despite the demands of raising a family, she pursued higher education, first earning her GED and then completing an associate's degree at FLCC in 2011. She became the first in her family to graduate from college, a milestone she was immensely proud of. Jamie found a fulfilling role at Mosaic Health in Rushville, where she worked as both a receptionist and an accountant. Her coworkers adored her for her warmth and the way she greeted everyone with her infectious smile.

Jamie was a loving, devoted mother who was always there when we needed her most, offering boundless laughter, support, and love. A cherished friend to many, she made a lasting impact on the Canandaigua community, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.

She is survived by her three daughters, Ciara, Savanna, and Olivia; her son, Caleb; her mother, Debbie; her siblings, Michael and Denise; and many other family and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and generosity.

Friends may call Friday, June 27, 2025, from 2-4 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 4 PM funeral service will follow at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will begin immediately after the service at the Canandaigua Moose Lodge.
