Richard Scott Wilder, age 54, passed away in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, after a second courageous battle with cancer.

Richard was born on September 9, 1970, at home in Rochester, NY. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jacquie and their children Scott and Elianna, parents Donald (Ilene Walters) Wilder and Sharon Wilder, siblings Rob and Michelle (Josh) Beatty, sister-in-law Janelle (Russell) Stratton, several nieces and nephews, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who are family.

He was predeceased by his in-laws Bill and Joan Bishop.

Rich and Jacquie met at Farmington McDonalds, where they both worked in high school and college. Soon after they were married they were blessed with the birth of their first child, Scott (29). Rich was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2000, a battle that he won. Their second child, Elianna (21), who we consider a miracle, was born in 2004.

Rich worked tirelessly as a System Architect at Innovative Solutions for more than 28 years, a job that he truly loved. He was a graduate of Victor Senior High and SUNY Geneseo.

Rich enjoyed football, soccer, golf and hunting. He loved watching and supporting his children in all their endeavors. One of Rich and Jacquie's favorite pastimes was spending time with friends and family and traveling, although their time was cut much too short to visit all the locations they had planned.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, July 20, from 12-2pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home. There will be a get-together following the service (location TBD).
