Henry (Hank) Brunjes, age 97, of Canandaigua, NY, passed away on July 31,2025, with his loving daughter, Lynn, by his side.
Hank was born in Bremen, Germany, in 1928 and immigrated to the United States in 1930. He spent his childhood leading adventures [on foot] throughout Brooklyn, The Bronx, Manhattan, over the George Washington Bridge and back via the Staten Island Ferry with a friend and his German Shepherd dog, Queenie.
As a young man in Post-War NY, his Harley Davidson became his bridge to the open road and to his best friend and wife, Elsie. Their rides on that motorcycle forged friendships that lasted a lifetime, even as they scattered across the country.
Flying, skiing, and photography were passions of his, but his true love was his family. Always curious, always wandering, always playful and smiling.
Hank's wife, Elsie, predeceased him. He is survived by his daughter, Lynn (Del Cronise), and their children: Dan (Maryann Keene-Cronise), Justin (Christina Walsh-Cronise), Jordan (Hannah Fernweh), and Katie Cronise. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Galen, Elliot, and Anna Keene-Cronise; Isis and Jesper Walsh-Cronise; Wilhelmina and Malcolm Fernweh; and his brother, George Brunjes (Kathy Pettit). And, of course, his faithful furry companion, Punky.
Friends may call Wednesday, August 6th, from 6-8 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua.
Hank's Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 7th, 2025, at 10AM; Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua.
