Bristol – Gertrude M. Docteur, 99, passed away Monday afternoon, November 17, 2025, at Thompson Hospital Canandaigua.

Gertie was born on March 14, 1926, in Naples, the daughter of Edwin and Lena Cole-Cooper. Gertie worked as a secretary to several large local companies. She had a love for golf and travel; having traveled in the US, Europe and the Caribbean.

Gertie was predeceased by her parents and 7 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons Russ and Terry (Betty); daughters Beverly (Joe) Melton, Cheryl (Don) Matthews, Cindy Docteur-Pollard and Delores Phillipps; grandchildren Scott (Julie) Docteur, Doug (Chris) Docteur, Tim Doliver, Jess (Charlie) Beard, Joey (Shawna) Melton, Missy (Scott) Hyon, Cody Docteur, Candy (Lyle) Bianic, Don (Namita) Matthews and Chris (Austin) Quinn-Taylor. 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Gertie's family will have a Celebration of Life on a later date.
