Janice Slack, 94, passed away peacefully on the evening of December 12, 2025.
Jan was born in Geneva, NY to Kenneth and Beatrice Bradford.
She attended Bloomfield High School, 1949 – Community college of the Finger Lakes, RN program, 1971, retiring from NYS in 1992
In 1981, she married George Slack, and together they traveled the USA, including 2 months in Alaska. They traveled to Israel and were baptized in the Jordan River.
From 1995 – 2007, Jan completed 15 mission trips to Europe, China, Russia, and South and Central America.
From 1999 – 2007, Jan served on the jail ministry for Ontario and Wayne counties, and she stated “Many saved, many healed”.
In 2002 she served as an Ombudsman with Lifespan in Rochester, and worked with several nursing homes.
She attended Branch of the Lord church, and is a long time friend of Pastor Bert.
Jan is survived by her step-son Jim (Kathy) Slack of the Finger Lakes, NY region. 2 grandsons Jesse and Luke Colling of South Carolina, and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Tall, second husband, George Slack, both daughters, Deb Tally and Linda Colling, granddaughter, Stacy Phillips, and great granddaughter, Taylor Phillips.
Friends and family may visit Friday, January 2, 2026, from 2 – 4 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua, NY. A 4 pm memorial service will follow at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Bert Hallancia from Branch of the Lord Church in Naples, NY.
Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Phelps, NY.
