Taryn Christie Flanigan, 46, of Farmington NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, after a sudden illness, with her mom and friends by her side.

She was born on October 13, 1979, in Greensboro, NC. Taryn graduated from Pittsford-Mendon High School, in Rochester, NY, where she played Varsity Basketball. Taryn graduated with a degree from Finger Lakes Community College. She worked for Corporate Initiatives LLC, for many years, and most recently, as an administrative assistant at UR Medical Imaging. In her free time, she could be found hanging out with family and friends, volunteering for Al Sigl Community of Agencies, watching sports, and most of all, spending time with her fur babies.

Taryn loved her family pets as a child and carried that love into lots of pet sitting for family and friends. It started as her connection to pets, and expanded into new friendships with both the cats and dogs, as well as their humans. Taryn was a strong advocate for both her family, friends, and animals her whole life. Taryn was an avid sports fan rooting for her Yankees, the NY Giants, and her beloved Duke Blue Devils. If you ever needed to know something about a team or sport, she was the go to person.

Taryn leaves behind her mother, Linda H. Flanigan, her brother, M. Ryan Flanigan, his wife Marissa, a niece, Marai, and a nephew, Makari. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Taryn was blessed with a wealth of lifelong friends who loved and supported her on a daily basis, especially Whitney, Mike, Julie, and Mandy.

Taryn was predeceased by her father, Michael D. Flanigan of Canandaigua, as well as her uncles, John, Richard, and Robert.

Services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, from 4-6 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 6 PM memorial service will follow at the funeral home.
