Christian P. Sargent Obituary

Christian P. Sargent

Canandaigua- Christian Sargent, 51, died Wednesday, Dec. 24 from alcohol and drug addiction.

Christian, who was born in Albuquerque, N.M., was an automobile aficionado. During his high school years, he detailed cars for several dealerships. After earning a degree in criminal justice from Finger Lakes Community College, he moved to Atlanta, Ga., where he worked in the medical recruitment field for some 15 years.

However, the allure of the automobile beckoned, and he returned to New York to take a job as a car salesman. He kept up with the latest industry news, enhancing his acumen that friends and relatives often tapped when seeking advice on repairs and purchases.

Christian, an avid sports fan, was a proud member of the Bills Mafia and followed NASCAR closely.

Christian was a shining light and enjoyed life. He had a great smile and personality and was always willing to help. He will be missed immensely.

Christian is survived by his heart broken mother, Belle (Grobe), of Canandaigua; father, Edward (Helon), of Greenville, S.C.; and brother, Francis (Star Mattice) of Rochester.

Friends may call Saturday, January 3, from 1-3pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 3pm memorial service will follow at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Christian's memory may be made to: Happy Tails 2976 County Road 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
