Shelby Gay Cross White, age 90, died peacefully in her home of 58 years in Bristol, NY on January 17, 2026, surrounded by family. Shelby was born on December 24, 1935, in Berlin, New Hampshire to parents F. William Cross from Maple Grove, Quebec and Gaynelle Jolbert of Berlin, NH.

Shelby is predeceased by son, Steve John White from Bristol NY, brothers William Cross of Whitefield NH, James C Cross of Whitefield NH, and brother-in-law, Timothy (Verna) White, Lancaster, NH.

Loving thoughts to surviving former husband Durwood White of Lancaster, NH, brother, Norman Cross of Whitefield, NH, and sister-in-law, Diane (James) Cross of Whitefield, NH, son, Richard (Sandra) White of Springwater, NY, daughter, Diane White of Bristol, NY, son Michael (Margaret) White of Dansville, NY, grandchildren; David J Kazmark, Bruce M White, Daniel White and Dennis White, niece Sheila (Wes) Cross Arita of Whitefield, NH, nephews Frederick (Lisa) Cross and David (Jill) Cross of New Hampshire. Special friends Theodore and Cody.

Shelby loved horseback riding, the sun, outdoors, wildlife and song and dance.

A private ceremony for close family and friends will be held for Shelby in Woodlawn Cemetery.
