Robert "Bob" Darling, 89, of Canandaigua, NY, entered into the presence of the Lord on January 28, 2026, with his loving wife, family and beloved cat, Houdini, by his side.

Bob was born in Cattaraugus, NY to Marietta and George Darling, to whom he is joyfully reunited.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Diane, of Canandaigua, NY; along with his three children, Dawn Almand, of Canandaigua, NY, Karen Compton, of Bloomfield, NY, Douglas Darling, of Rochester, WA; his precious grandchildren, Sarah, Robert, Tiffany, Lea, Megan, Robyn, Rachael and Joshua; as well as several great grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his sister, Betty (Eric) Lundberg, of Olean, NY; several nieces and nephews.

Bob was a follower of the Lord and attended church weekly until recent years when he was unable. He served others with kindness and compassion.

Bob spent most of his career working in the snack food industry for Frito Lay and Troyer Farms Potato Chip companies.

He will be remembered for his caring, gentle spirit and love for his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to hospices of Monroe and Ontario Counties.
