Ronald Cecil Edwards, 78, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, in Canandaigua, New York.

Born on March 25, 1947, in Utica, New York, Ron was the son of Cecil and Edna Edwards. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from December 1969 to December 1975, achieving the rank of SP5. During his service, he trained as a Broadcast Specialist, an experience that reflected both his technical skill and his ability to connect with others.

Ron was known for his kindness, sense of humor, and generous spirit. These qualities were evident not only in his personal relationships but also in his commitment to helping others. He volunteered with the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), dedicating time and energy to support fellow veterans, a cause close to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janice Edwards, his parents and nephew Teddy.

Ron is lovingly remembered by his sister, Betty (Dick) Barth; brother, Richard Edwards; nephews, Jeremy, Chad and Justin; stepchildren, Tim (Cathy) Stephens, Victor (Carmelita) Stephens, Kevin (Connie) Stephens, Sharlene (Tom) Dunton, and Christine Bowman. He also leaves behind many cherished step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A man of quiet strength and enduring warmth, Ron touched many lives through both service and friendship. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

Friends may call Friday, February 13, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 6:00 PM funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home.
