Linnea Clark Obituary

Linnea Tamara Clark, 76, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, in Bristol, NY.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother (Tutu), sister, auntie, and friend, she is survived by her husband, Walter “Eddie” Clark III; children, Jason Clark (AngieLynn) and Kehaulani Backes (Ian); grandchildren, Rhazlynn Calixto, Kealinea Clark, Alana Clark, Caleb Backes; brothers, Allen Pantaleon (Shirley), Alfredo “Butchie” Pantaleon, Candace “Candi” Brady, Marie Smythe (Duke), Alison Antenorcruz; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Born on April 9, 1949, in Honolulu Hawaii, Linnea was the daughter of Alfred and Anita (Tamarra) Pantaleon.

She met her husband of 45 years, Eddie, on January 5, 1980, at the Pearl Harbor Officer’s club in Honolulu. Eddie served in the Marine Corps for two decades fresh out of high school in Honeoye, NY. Linnea and Eddie had a short and sweet courtship, getting married on July 18, 1980, at The Cathedral of St. Andrew in downtown Honolulu.

Military life gave Linnea and Eddie the opportunity to travel, during which they spent time in Fredericksburg, VA; Okinawa, Japan; Newport, NC; and Virginia Beach, VA, where Eddie retired from the Marine Corps. Linnea worked as a clerk in traffic court for the city of Virginia Beach for over 20 years, and through her time there built some long-lasting relationships with co-workers.

Aside from working, Linnea also enjoyed tending to her tropical plants (plumeria and jade were two of the most treasured), cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies in football, traveling back to Hawaii to visit family, and bowling in a league with her dear Eddie.

Linnea will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her discreet sense of adventure (hiking Hawaiian trails, parasailing, snorkeling, desire for zip lining, relaxing at her favorite spot at the Ko’Olina lagoon on Oahu), her sweet nature, and her unwavering integrity. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A 1:00 PM memorial service will be held Saturday, April 11, at the United Church of Bristol 7177 Co Rd. 2 Bloomfield, NY, followed by a Celebration of Life at the church.
