Tracy McIlveen Richter of Canandaigua, NY passed away suddenly March 15th, 2026 at the age of 66, after a 16-month battle with a terrible illness.

She is predeceased by mother, Bonita M. Mincer, father James McIlveen, step-father James A. Mincer, granddaughter Kaly Klug, and nephew Joshua Mitchell.

Tracy is survived by her husband David W. Richter of Canandaigua; children Michael P.Clark and Carrie (Kirk) Klug of Canandaigua; siblings Rick (Karen) McIlveen, Lisa (Steven) Mitchell, and David Mincer; grandchildren Zack (Ashley) Klug, Kaili (Sean) Maney, Kortni (Greg) Klug, Kevin Klug; great grandchildren Ronan, Norah, Lailiana, Genevieve and Oliver Klug, Freyja Maney, Teddy Chapman, Aiden, Mason and Rylan Santiago; nieces and nephews Alissa Mitchell, Stephanie (Kyle) Goldsmith, Tessa Mitchell, Lindsey (Andy) Remillard, Lauren McIlveen, Georgia Mincer, Gabriel Mincer and the next generation Daniel and Benjamin Remillard and Atreus Clendenin; friends and extended family too numerous to list.

Tracy loved her life and family and fought through much to stay, but God had other plans. She loved to paint and create. She painted landscapes and Canandaigua landmarks, including painting the Sonnenberg Mansion on a wine bottle label one year. She created adorable clay figures for years that we all loved and most recently had been hand-sewing projects for her grand-dog Bailey and creating dream catchers for the Infant Loss Room at Strong Memorial Hospital where her niece Alissa works.

An 11 AM graveside service will be held Saturday, March 28th at Woodlawn Cemetery 130 N. Pearl St. Canandaigua.
