Patricia Katherine (Scott) McConville, 85, formerly of LaFayette and Massena, New York, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, following complications from Alzheimer's disease.

Born August 29, 1940, in Amenia, New York, Patricia lived a life defined by family, kindness, and quiet strength. She was the beloved wife of the late George McConville for 51 years. Together they built a loving home in the Massena and LaFayette communities, where family was always at the center of their lives.

Patricia was known for her gentle nature and thoughtful spirit. She had a warm, welcoming presence and was a pleasure to be around. She devoted much of her life to helping and caring for people. Patricia worked as a Chapter 1 reading and math aide, helping young students build skills and confidence. She later worked at the Loretto Child Care Center, where her compassion and dedication were widely recognized. In 1989, she was honored as both the Onondaga County and Loretto Caregiver of the Year for her outstanding service.

Patricia also enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She was an avid reader who loved spending time outdoors, especially snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter. She had a special fondness for dogs and treasured their companionship.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband George and son Kevin, and is survived by her children, George McConville III (Eileen) and Doreen (John) Verzosa; her grandchildren, George McConville IV (Megan Wright), Tara (Corey) Boor, Bryan (Kate) Verzosa, and Tyler (Anna) Verzosa; and her great-grandchildren, Lily Boor and Harrison Verzosa. She is also remembered by several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours, and services will be private.
