Daniel Patrick Stella, 66, made his journey to heaven surrounded by family on April 1, 2026.

Dan was born in Rochester, NY to William E. Stella, Sr. and Doris A. Stella on January 10th, 1960. He attended Gates Chili high school and graduated in 1978. He then went on to pursue his love for music education, then later changed paths and earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from SUNY Brockport.

Dan had many passions in life, including fishing, anything science fiction, all genres of music (but specifically Pink Floyd,) computer science and software, playing cards with his friends and family, having coffee dates with his daughter, Sara, and preserving the world and it's wildlife for the future generation to see through volunteering with Ducks Unlimited.

Daniel was predeceased by his mother and father, William E. Stella, Sr. and Doris A. (Frawley) Stella, and his brother Walter J. Stella.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Debra (Schroeder) Stella, his daughter Sara (Stella) Henderson, his "Bonus Son" (son-in-law) James Henderson, his siblings William E. Stella Jr. (Lorry Whipple), Maurina (Stella) Schmidt, Irene (Stella) Jordan (Jon Jordan), Ilene Stella, his Aunt Velma (Scott) Benton, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo Street Canandaigua, NY, on Thursday, April 9th from 4pm-6pm. A memorial service will be held at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church, 3360 Middle Cheshire Road, Canandaigua, NY on Friday, April 10th at 11am with refreshments to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to URMC Home Care Hospice, especially Dan's nurse, Caroline, and home health aide, Gina.
