After 41 years of fighting battles most of us will never have to experience and bringing more blessings and love than we could have ever hoped for, this warrior went to heaven on June 5, 2026.

While heartbroken, and unsure of how our lives move forward from here, we are eternally grateful for the 41 years we were given, the beautiful memories, and for all the beautiful souls who have come into our lives through Josh. He is so deeply loved by so many. In memory of our beautiful Joshie, share some of that love with someone who has never been as blessed as he is, or his family has been with such deep love. It can and does change a life.

He loved the beach and dug in the sand for hours. We're sure he dug his way to China at least once!

He loved music, and attending concerts. The Adele concert he attended would be one of the many highlights of his life. He loved dancing and his music groups. Music was his connection to so much joy.

Josh loved going for car rides, and airplane rides. He flew to Colorado, Florida and South Carolina. The joy on his face as the plane took off will be forever etched in our minds. We spent many weeks vacationing in Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks where we created so many beautiful memories!

He loved watching his brothers and sister participate in school sports. Especially loved watching Tyler and Alyssa play in Frank Baker Football. He never missed a game, and actually became the Honorary Player for their team, The Green Bay Packers! They opened every game in a circle around Josh and he loved it!

He also loved watching the Bills play Sunday Football! On the days he was upset with one of us, he would choose a different team, usually the Dolphins or the Steelers. He loved going to their practices and getting signed footballs and hats from the players!

Josh loved boating on Canandaigua Lake. The faster we went, the more he loved it! We will never forget his squeals of joy and his infectious giggles while his mother screamed in fear!

But most of all, Joshie loved being loved and giving that love back…sometimes in very unconventional ways!!

We are eternally grateful to all the medical staff who have provided care to Josh over the years. The Complex Care Center and their staff have helped us navigate through some really difficult times. The 1st half of his life was mainly spent at Strong, starting in the NICU where they saved his life all those years ago. The last half primarily at Thompson Hospital. The care, and especially the love they gave him and our family will never be forgotten. We could never have made it through without them holding us up and guiding us every single step of the way, especially these last few weeks. They not only took exemplary care of Joshie, but they also hugged us, cried with us, and made us laugh harder than we thought we could! They have become our family!

Josh is survived by his parents Dave and Karen. Brothers Matthew, Brandon, Nick (Mike) Tyler, Brian (Page) and his sister Alyssa. Grandparents Peg and Stan Dedoszak. Several aunts, uncles and cousins. His nieces and nephews Gavin, Gabe, Violet, Ivy, Elli, Parker, Julia and Reagan. And so many very special friends. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Clifford and Sylvia Wyman.

Friends may call, Thursday June 11, from 4-8 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. An 11 AM funeral service will be held Friday, June 12th at the funeral home.

A luncheon will follow the service at Lincoln on Main, 245 South Main St. Canandaigua.
