Obituary of Dorothy Potter

Dorothy M. Potter Canandaigua- Dorothy M. Potter passed away peacefully on August 26, 2014 after a short stay at Hospeace House in Naples. Born in Livonia, on June 18, 1922, Dorothy has lived in Canandaigua for most of her life. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Irene Turner; two sisters, Marguerite (Marge) Cole and Evelyn Crouse; one brother, Harold (Sonny) Turner; two grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 75 years, Jay S. Potter; children, Geri A. Bellis, of Farmington, Samuel J. Potter, of Shortsville, David J. (Roseann) Potter, of Woodbridge, VA, and Bonnie J. Stevens, of Jordan, NY; grandchildren, Rick Bellis, Jodie (Don) Love, Shari (Ernie) French, James (Gayle) Potter, Jay (Kathy) Potter, Amy Castle, Jonathan (Jennifer) Potter, Jennifer Potter, Christopher (Iris) Potter, Stephen (Cathy) Potter, Jeffrey (Kim) Stevens, Ilona (Tom) Schlafer; 23 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. Friends may call Saturday, August 30, from 10 am-12 noon at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 12 pm funeral service will follow at the funeral home.
