Obituary of James Handville

James Joseph Auluish Handville Bloomfield- James Handville, 66, from 6741 Rice Road, Bloomfield, NY, died October 11, 2015. Jim was the previous owner of K.A.R. Construction for many years, owner of Prohandyman Company, and a 100% DAV from the Vietnam era. He was very active for the NEVER ALONE CLUB (The BLUE HOUSE) and the BLESSING ROOM at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in East Bloomfield, for many years. An active member of the Local 4th chapter DAV, a silver commander of DAV, member of the AMERICAN LEGION, and LIFE MEMBER of handyman club of America. Mr. Handville was a man that demanded respect and got it through doing good things for others and his community. Born and raised in STERLING, NY. Jim settled down here in this area in the mid 1990’s. He has helped numerous people start a new life from the one they had that “just didn’t work anymore” he had a happy go lucky kind of attitude, with a powerful message to others, young and old, male or female. Surviving are two brothers, Ronn, from Sarasota, Florida, and Greg, from Fulton, NY; three sisters, Cheryl, of Lafayette, LA, Cyndi, from Cortland, NY, and Barbara, from B-ville, NY; tons of nieces and nephews and lots and lots of friends. Jim was never alone. He believed in God and used his higher power every day. Jim had an attitude of gratitude that was unforgettable once you got to know him. Friends may call Thursday, October 15, from 3 pm to 7 pm at the Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 9 am Funeral service will be held Friday, October 16, at the funeral home.
