Obituary of Amanda L. Castle

In Memory of Amanda L. Castle 1979-2016 Canandaigua Amanda Castle, age 37, passed away unexpectedly on September 25th. Mandie was born in Brockport, NY on July 12, 1979. She attended Naples High School and graduated from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2008. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing since 2007. She was a Registered Nurse licensed in both the State of New York and South Carolina. She was a member of the American Nurses Association since 2007. Trauma nursing was Mandie's passion - as she would say "taking names and saving lives". She maintained her skill set through continuing education that included ACLS, PALS and Telemetry Certification. Mandie was very creative - she enjoyed music, drawing, painting and photography. She is survived by her husband, Stephen, and son, Luke. Father, Robert (Shawn) Rothberg of Myrtle Beach, SC; Mother, Vicki (Gary) Harvey of Sierra Vista, AZ; Sister, Tammy (Ron) Webster, Nephew, Dylan (Jamie) Webster and Niece, Megan Webster, all of South Bristol, NY; many step-siblings, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Mandie was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Rudy & Louise Rothberg and her maternal grandparents, Lyle & Ersel Villnave. Family and friends may call from 2:00-4:00 on Friday, September 30th at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua. Memorial services will be held immediately following. There will be a gathering for friends and family at the Elks Club, 19 Niagara St, Canandaigua following the services.
