Obituary of Jean B. Sherry

Jean B. Sherry Canandaigua- Jean Sherry, who was born, raised and spent her life in Canandaigua, passed away peacefully at home on November 13th at age 86. She was classy, strong, and sweet during her battle with cancer and dementia. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 64 years William F Sherry; daughters Colleen (Donald) Brown, Maura Sherry-Hallstead, Anne (Kevin) Olvany; son Paul (Jackie) Sherry; daughter-in-law Diana Sherry; grandchildren James (Courtney) Altavela, William Hallstead, Hannah & Celia Sherry, and Sean & Patrick Olvany; special cousins Sr. Barbara Lynaugh & Ann Woods; the group of wonderful home health aides who took loving care of her during these last months; along with a close knit group of lifelong neighbors and friends. She was recently predeceased by her eldest son Stephen Sherry. Jean graduated from St Mary's School and the Canandaigua Academy class of 1949. A fiercely strong woman, she blessed us with her unique sense of humor, love of baking, quiet support of others in need, and love of family. Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, November 16, from 6 - 8pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 10 am funeral Mass will be Thursday, November 17, at St. Mary's Church, 95 N. Main St. followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
