Obituary of Rosalie Wrobel Fafinski

Rosalie Wrobel Fafinski passed away, October 26, 2023 after a long illness at the age of 81. She had a lot of love surrounding her from near and far. She was predeceased by her mother Sophie (Maslinski) Wrobel; father Joseph Wrobel; and brother Dr. Joseph M. Wrobel. Rosalie is survived by her loving husband Theodore Fafinski, of 55 years; her Son Daniel (Laura) Fafinski; Daughter Rebecca (Eric) Feistel; and her three grandchildren Henry Fafinksi, Isabella Feistel and Sydney Feistel who were the apple(s) of her eye. Rosalie was born in Syracuse, NY and graduated from Solvay High School in 1960. She attended LaSalle Extension University, Chicago, ll, with a Diploma in Interior Decorating. She attended University College of Syracuse University, Syracuse with part-time studies in Psychology and English. She lived in the Philippines from 1973-1975, while her husband served in the Air Force. She was an Assistant Principal of Religion, for Kindergarten through First Graders at Clark Air Base. After taking time to raise her children, she went to Finger Lakes Community College with part time studies in Study Skills, and Reporting and Research. Rosalie was a Teacher’s Aide at Baldwinsville Schools, and Victor Central schools. While being an amazing mother and friend, she kept very busy attending several National Republican Committee Workshops covering various areas in the election process, to include, polling, constructing, polling questions, getting the vote out, and canvassing the polls and various political processes. Rosalie supported the Town of Farmington as the Republican Committee Chair for several terms in the 1990’s and managed her husband’s Farmington Town Supervisor Campaigns. She also coordinated Press Conferences for the Ontario County Republican Committee Chairman From 1993-1995. Rosalie was appointed the Ontario County Republican Committee Historian in 1993. Rosalie was a NY State Senate, Constituent Aide, 53 Senate District Office, Victor NY from 1995-1996. She received the Spirit of Lincoln Award for demonstrating outstanding Republican vision leadership. In 2012 she received Farmington Citizen of the year. Rosalie had a loving, caring and warm heart. Anyone who knew Rosalie, knew she always had a smile on her face and a sense of humor. She loved deep and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. A Christian Mass will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 at St. Mary’s Church, 95 N. Main Street Canandaigua. Burial will be in North Farmington Cemetery.
