Obituary of Charlene Collette Fairman

Charlene Collette Fairman, 62, of Stanley, NY, passed away on March 20, 2024, surrounded by her family at home. Charlene Fairman was born in Canandaigua, NY to Gordon Johnson Sr. and Beulah Hoffman Johnson on August 11, 1961. She went to high school at Red Jacket and graduated in 1980. She went on to earn an associate degree in human services from Finger Lakes Community College. She worked as an administrative assistant for Ontario County Public Health for 16 years, then transitioned into her role at Finger Lakes Community College where she worked in Community Affairs for another 14 years, which she retired from in 2021. Charlene was also a bar tender at CMAC for many years during the summer concerts. She enjoyed camping with her family, spending time with her birds, and being out on the water. Charlene loved to travel, shop, and attend and participate in local auctions. She received numerous awards and merits over the years, one she was most proud of was the SUNY Chancellor's Award. Charlene had a huge passion for the special needs community and was involved in a lot of non for profits programs, charities and participated as a board member in the Region One Counsel for OPWDD. Charlene Fairman is survived by her husband of 42 years, Edward of Stanley; daughters, Amber, (Dylan) Natrigo and Autum Fairman of Stanley; son, Austin Fairman; grandchildren, Hayden Orr, Noah Orr, and Lucy Natrigo; siblings, Gordon Jr (Donna) Johnson, Greg (Cindy) Johnson, Timothy Johnson Sr, and Yvonne Barajas, Deborah (Don) Milliken; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Beulah Johnson Sr.; sister, Brenda Johnson; and brothers, James and Rodnie Johnson. Friends may call Tuesday, March 26, from 3pm-5pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 5pm memorial service will follow at the funeral home with Pastor David Prince presiding.
