Obituary of Betsy Peirce

LOVING WIFE, MOTHER and GRANDMOTHER Betsy Mae (Lord) Peirce 1928-2013 Canandaigua- Betsy Peirce, 85, passed away August 24, 2013 at F.F. Thompson Hospital. Born in New Bedford, MA, Betsy raised her family in Rochester, MA. She is survived by her husband, C. Condit Peirce; son, Charles K. (Diana) Peirce, M.D., College Station, TX; daughters, Kate K. (Randall) Ott, Shortsville, NY, Sharon L. (Patrick) Cullinane, Farmington, NY, Carol M. (Steve Bieghler) Peirce, Pomona, CA; grandchildren, Andrew, Emily and Rebecca Peirce, Nathan R. Ott, J. Benjamin Nevius and Kate E. Russell; sister, Marjorie R. Gourley; nephew, Steve N. Gourley, and sister-in-law, Hilda N. Peirce. Betsy graduated from St. Luke's Nurse's training in New Bedford, MA and worked as a nurse for nine years. She loved working with children and taught kindergarten and nursery school at Long Plain Baptist Church in Acushnet, MA for many years. Friends may call August 29 from 1-3 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 3 p.m. funeral service will follow at the funeral home.
