Obituary of Sheila Rayburn Kriesel
Sheila Louise Rayburn Kriesel
Sheila Louise Kriesel, of Eureka, formerly of Bloomfield, New York, died on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at her home with her husband Keith Kalen Kriesel, at the age of 52.
Born June 3, 1961, the daughter of Floyd and Dolores (Teamerson) Rayburn. She graduated from Bloomfield Central School. After attending Finger Lakes Community College she joined the United States Air Force in 1982. She served actively for 11 years and as a reservist for an additional 3 years. While in the Air Force, she served in Operation Desert Storm. She married Keith Kalen Kriesel on May 23, 1992 in England. After honorable services in the Air Force, Sheila and her husband Kalen moved to Eureka, Kansas where she was actively involved with the local VFW Post #2712. She was employed with the Greenwood County Attorneys office for over 14 years. She enjoyed attending her grandchildrens activities.
Sheila is survived by daughters, Christina Scheff (fiancé Tony Scott) and Catherine Scheff of Eureka; step-sons, Matthew Kriesel (fiancé Sandra Johnson), Michael (Erica) Kriesel and Tyler (Samantha) Kriesel all of Osawatomie, Kansas; brothers, Paul, James (Darlene), Floyd, and Mark; and sisters, Mary (Kirby) Green, Martha Powers, and Pamela (Terry) Bauer, all of New York; 12 grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Mary Knobel Rayburn.
A memorial Mass will be held at St. Bridgets Church in Bloomfield on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10:00 AM.
