Obituary of Ethel Burgess

Loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Ethel M. Burgess Canandaigua- Ethel Burgess, 83, passed away November 11, 2013 at home, surrounded by her family. Born in Buffalo, NY, Ethel was employed with Rochester Telephone in her early years. She also worked at Nichols Department Store, Alexander’s Market, and Twist and Shout Ice Cream in Manchester. Ethel was a former member of the Tri-County Draft Horse Club; former 4-H leader of Ontario County for 20 years; and secretary for the Ontario County Fair Association. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Ralph Burgess; son-in-law, Louis Lucarelli; and two grandchildren. Ethel is survived by her children, Pauline Lucarelli, Lori Burgess, Mary Ellen (Kevin) Oliver, John (Denise) Burgess, Ralph (Sue) Burgess, Tom (Linda) Burgess, Gene (Laura) Burgess, Dave (Pricilla) Lathrop; nephew, Steven Burgess; and 22 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. Friends may call Thursday, November 14, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 10 a.m. funeral service will be held Friday November 15 at the funeral home.
