Claude Kiewiet CANANDAIGUA, NY Claude Kiewiet died July 27, 2009 at Thompson Hospital. Claude was born in Meaux, France on January 28,1955 to Edvins and Lucie Svilpe. She was a graduate of Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo, MI and attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College. After college she became active in the promotional products industry and had been owner of Promotion Concepts, Inc. She was also a Michigan Master Gardener. Recently she was the proprietor of Jakes in Pittsford, NY, a "Life is good neighborhood shoppe". She is survived by her parents Edvins and Lucie Svilpe of Kalamazoo; her daughters Elizabeth Marie Kiewiet of Kalamazoo and Stephanie Michelle Kiewiet of Grand Rapids, MI; "the love of her life" Dale Stell and his family of Canandaigua, NY, her brother and sister-in-law Alain and Theresa Svilpe and their daughter Michelle of Mattawan, MI and her sister and brother-in-law Laurie and Daniel Bachleda and their children Lauren and Michael of Naperville, IL. Friends may call at the Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua, NY, Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until noon where funeral services will begin following visitation at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Canandaigua Lakeview Cemetery, Jones Road, Rushville. Contributions in her memory may be made to Sonnenberg Gardens, 151 Charlotte St., Canandaigua, NY 14424. Memorial services will be held in Kalamazoo at a later date.
