Obituary of Beverly Blackington

Beverly J. Blackington Loving wife, mother, grandmother Farmington NY Of Terri Drive passed away Aug. 2, 2009 at her home. Born in Sidney NY, She was a graduate of Afton Central School and also Broome Community College. She married Roger Blackington in the Afton Baptist Church May 4, 1974. Beverly was employed by the Canandaigua Medical Group for the past 18 years. She was a member of the Canandaigua Baptist Church for the past 32 years serving as keyboardist and worship coordinator. She had a full heart to worship her savior Jesus Christ. Bev was an avid reader and loved her animals and liked sewing and all kinds of crafts. She is survived by her husband of 35 years Roger Blackington Children; Jennifer (Jeremiah) Chaffee of Geneva, Jillian (Lee) Teitsworth of Rush NY. Grandchildren; Nathaniel and Juliet Chaffee, Owen Teitsworth. Sisters; Phyllis Lowe, Nineveh NY. Lucy Merical, N.C. Marlene Crock, East Greenbush NY. Mother; Lena Gifford of Afton NY Several nieces & nephews and many dear friends. Predeceased by her father Clarence Gifford and a baby sister Marilyn Gifford. Friends may call Wed. 2-4 and 7-9 at the Fuller Funeral Home 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A memorial service will be held Thu. 7 P.M. at the Canandaigua Baptist Church. Burial will be Thu. 12 noon in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Sidney NY. Contributions may be made in her name to the Canandaigua Baptist Church 5026 North Road Canandaigua NY 14424.
