Obituary of Kenneth Kelly

Kenneth W. Kelly Canandaigua- Ken Kelly, 62, of Chapin St. passed away March 9, 2014 at Hospeace House in Naples after a long battle with cancer. Ken was predeceased by his beloved mother, Gloria; father, Fred; a brother, Fred; and animal companion, Poko. He is survived by his wife, Mary “Mickie” Kelly; brothers, Al Kelly, Ed (Kathy) Kelly, Scott (Tracey) Kelly, David (Kathy) Kelly; stepchildren, Jamie (Amy) Alexander, William (Anne Marie) Alexander, Aaron Alexander; step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends, including, Dylan, John, Lisa, and Treff. Ken loved family, friends, life, the beach, his career and people. He lived by the motto “Carpe Diem” and often was heard exclaiming “it is what it is.” He was the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Finger Lakes Ambulance from 1993-2013. Ken was the founder and Instructor for the EMT/Paramedics program at FLCC from 1997-2008. He was awarded Educator of NYS in 2008. Friends may call Friday, March 14, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. An 11 am funeral service will be held Saturday, March 15, at Crosswinds Church 3360 Middle Cheshire Rd. Canandaigua. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
