I just learned of Tommy's passing. I went to grammar school (St. Martin of Tours) and high school (Fr. Judge) with Tommy in Philadelphia, PA.
We played many, many pick-up basketball games together - Tommy and Joe Schriver vs. the Jerry Curran and myself. Tommy and Joe almost always won. No one could stop Tommy's uncanny shooting ability.
I am a Vietnam Vet as well (Army medic). I didn't know Tommy was one as well.
Tommy was a joy to be around: funny as hell!
Odd Item: The day after Hurricane Sandy, a one-eyed male cat found it's way to out door. Since he was a tom cat, we call him Tommy.
I knew Georgie as well but not as well. I also remember the twin sisters. They were stunners. It was very sad we one of them passed away during child birth.
Tommy was a really good guy.
